1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service replace any earlier version that may have appeared on our sites. When you access a page, open an application, register an account, or otherwise use a service, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with any part, please do not use the service. We sometimes refer to these terms together with our Privacy Policy, and both documents apply at the same time to your use.

2. About the Company and Its Services

Red Maple Senior Association is a senior-focused organization working in computer integrated systems design and related professional, scientific, and technical services. Located at 29 Westmount Rd S, Waterloo - N2L 2K4, Canada, we design companion apps for older adults, family care coordination tools, accessible health reminder systems, community activity platforms, and family bulletin and photo boards.

Our mission is to make technology feel warm and dependable for older adults and their families. The developer of this site is RedMapley. Nothing in these terms is intended to suggest that we offer licensed medical, legal, or financial advice; where such advice is needed, you should speak with the appropriate qualified professional.

The Association is based in Canada and works mostly with senior centres, neighbourhood groups, and family carers in Ontario and beyond. Because the tools we build lean on human warmth as much as on software, we describe them here as services rather than as a set of rigid products. The same care we bring to a front porch has shaped how we run meetings, set prices, and answer the phone.

3. Accounts and Registration

Some features require an account. When you register, you agree to give true, current, and complete details and to keep them up to date. You are responsible for protecting the password and any device you use to sign in. Please tell us straight away if you believe your account has been accessed without permission, and sign out of shared devices after you finish.

You must not create an account in another person name without their permission, and you must not register with a misleading identity. If a family member or caregiver sets up an account on your behalf, both of you accept that the account is managed under these terms and that you will keep each other informed of any choices that affect the account.

We may ask you to prove you are who you say you are when you request a change that could affect another person on the account, such as resetting a contact number. This small step protects everyone in the care circle. Where a family uses one shared account, we ask that the person who named the account remain the main contact and that special care be taken to agree on who may read which notes.

4. Eligibility and Age Requirement

Our online services are intended for use by people who are at least eighteen years of age, or by a guardian who acts on behalf of a dependent adult. We do not knowingly permit children under the age of thirteen to register. By creating an account you confirm that you meet the applicable age requirement for the region where you live. We may ask for proof of authority where a volunteer or family member operates an account for another adult.

5. Coverage of These Terms

These terms cover all of our websites, including pages reached from www.redmaple.autos, and any companion or care software we operate under associated names. They also cover the community activity platforms and bulletin boards we host for senior centres and neighbourhood groups. Where a separate written agreement exists between your organization and us, that agreement takes priority on anything it specifically addresses; these terms fill the gaps.

6. Licence to Use the Services

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use our services for your own lawful purposes in line with these terms. You may not resell, redistribute, or lease access to a service, and you may not use it to operate a competing offering. The licence ends automatically when you stop using the service or when we terminate access under these terms. You keep any rights you hold in your own submitted content, subject to the licence in the content section below.

7. Your Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

You agree to use our services lawfully and kindly. In particular you will not: misuse or interfere with the service; attempt to gain access to another account; send spam, undue promotional material, or bulk messages; post content that is unlawful, threatening, defamatory, or that harms another person; upload harmful files or software; misrepresent your identity; or try to defeat any security control.

On community platforms you will respect group organizers and fellow members. You will not publish another person private information without permission, and you will follow any brief house rules that a group organizer posts. We ask that you report anything that feels unsafe so we can look after the community together.

8. Content You Submit

You keep ownership of the content you post, including messages, photos, notes, and bulletin items. By posting, however, you grant us a limited licence to host, store, display, and make reasonable copies of that content so that we can run the service. We do not claim ownership of your content and we never use it for advertising.

You confirm that content you post belongs to you or that you hold permission to share it. Content is shown to whoever the privacy controls allow, so please think before adding a photo of a child or about the contact details of another adult. We may remove content that breaks these terms or that harms the community, without owing a duty to keep it visible.

You also accept that you act as the responsible point of contact for content you publish to a group board. If a member sends you a private note, we expect you not to forward it beyond the family or group intended. We give the community soft tools to flag a concerning post, and we encourage members to use them rather than leaving difficulty hidden.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

The service itself, including its design, text, software, graphics, and any distinctive look and feel, belongs to Red Maple Senior Association or its licensors and is protected by the laws of Canada and other countries. The marks REDMAPLEY, the leaf-pair device, and related names are identifiers of the Association and its services.

You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the service except as expressly allowed by law. You may quote brief passages from our public pages for review or teaching with a clear source credit, but you may not reproduce entire pages or use our marks in a way that suggests endorsement without written permission.

10. Fees and Payments

Some of our services are free, while certain community or agency packages may carry a fee. We will show any price clearly before you commit, and you will not be billed without your confirmed agreement. Payments are processed securely through a reputable payment provider; we never store your full card number on our own systems.

Unless stated otherwise, fees are shown in the currency of the region where the customer is served and do not include applicable taxes, which we add at the rate set by law. Where a refund policy applies to a specific package, we publish it beside that service. A failure to pay what is due may lead us to suspend the related features until the balance is settled.

11. Availability and Suspension

We aim to keep our services available and reliable, but we cannot promise an uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, apply updates, or withdraw a feature when the community need has passed, and we will give reasonable notice where practical. We may temporarily suspend all or part of a service to protect security or to comply with the law, and we may disable an account that seriously breaks these terms.

Planned maintenance is scheduled when traffic is quiet and announced on our service notice line where possible. In the rare event of an unplanned outage, we restore service as quickly as we safely can and we post a plain note on our status page so nobody is left wondering. If a shutdown would delete content you have stored on a board, we give you a fair window to download what belongs to you before we close the door.

12. Disclaimers of Warranty

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our services and all content are provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful code, and we do not warrant any particular result, health outcome, or level of independence from using our tools.

Our apps are aids, not substitutes, for human care or professional judgement. A reminder to take medication does not replace a pharmacist or doctor direction, and a walk log does not replace advice from a physiotherapist. Where our service usefully supports care, please keep qualified professionals and family carers fully involved.

Because every home and every community is different, we describe our tools accurately but simply. We do not promise that a feature will work perfectly in every device, every version of a browser, or every version of an operating system, and we encourage you to try a free or low-cost option before committing to a full plan. Where a tool depends on a home internet connection and that connection fails, the tool can only work when the connection returns.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Red Maple Senior Association, its officers, staff, volunteers, and developers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or revenue, whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise, in connection with these terms or the service.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising in a given year from a free service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and for free services will not exceed a modest sum in the currency of the region of service. Because some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of warranties or the limitation of incidental damages, parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Red Maple Senior Association and its staff, volunteers, and developers from any claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your submitted content that harms another party. We will give you prompt notice of any such claim and the right to lead its defense, at your own cost, unless we reasonably prefer to do so ourselves.

15. Third-Party Services and Links

Our pages may link to outside services for convenience, such as a social page or an external event calendar. We do not control those services and make no warranty about them. When you leave our site, the third party terms of use and privacy policy replace ours for everything you do there. Where we integrate a trusted third party into a feature, we remain responsible for the overall service we deliver to you.

16. Termination

You may stop using a service at any time and, if you wish, delete your account through the account settings or by writing to us. We may suspend or terminate access to a service where you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, where we must comply with the law, or where continuing would create a real risk to the community. On termination, your right to use the account ends and we will remove personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, while returning anything you are owed by law.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable to that province, without regard to conflict of law rules. For disputes related to this service, you agree first to write to us with a clear description so we can try to resolve the matter fairly and quickly. If an amicable solution cannot be found within a reasonable period, either of us may bring the matter before the courts of Ontario, Canada, as the region where our office at 29 Westmount Rd S, Waterloo - N2L 2K4 is located. Nothing here limits your right to raise a complaint with a relevant consumer or privacy authority in your own region.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms from time to time to reflect changes in the service, the law, or the community. When a change is significant, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and may email the address we hold on your account. If you keep using a service after the new date takes effect, you accept the changed terms. Reading the current version each time you visit is the easiest way to stay aware.

19. Contacting Us
